I love photographing large happy families, especially families from my community. Even though, I have never met them before, I kind of feel like I know them because we travel se same roads, use the same shops and walk the same school halls. You instantly feel connected.
This was the case with the Breedt Family. I enjoyed a lovely winters afternoon with them, not too long ago.

I recently meet up with the Kock Family for an outdoor photo session. It is school holidays and the perfect time to unwind, get together and create memories. As we all know by now, kids grow up in a wink of an eye. At least we will always have our memories.

I just love photographing this lovely family. It feels like I have known them forever. They also make me realise just how fast time actually flies. Before I know it, another year has passed and it is time again for their yearly family photo session. At least I get to see the kids grow up.

Cutie Pie Duan is my cousin’s darling little baby boy. How blessed am I to have the opportunity to meet and photograph him on the same day. He is a lovely little boy and reminds me so much of my cousin Lehan when he was a baby. All too precious.
Big sister Lumé and mommy Cherié assisted me with the shoot. I don’t do a lot of newborn shoots anymore but with their help this one was possible and so special.
